Arpan R. Doshi received his medical degree from India. He completed his Pediatrics residency at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. He is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology by American Board of Pediatrics. Prior to opening Pediatric Heart Care, Dr. Doshi worked at Children’s Mercy Hospital where he served as Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiology in Wichita, KS. Later on, he worked as a Pediatric Cardiologist at Pediatrix Cardiology of Houston.
At Pediatric Heart Care his goal is to provide comprehensive non-invasive pediatric cardiology care to the community close to their home. Dr. Doshi is accepting new patients at Pediatric Heart Care.
Congenital heart disease (CHD) are structural defects in the heart present since birth. They can affect how blood flows through the heart and out to the rest of the body. CHDs can vary from mild (such as a small hole in the heart) to severe (such as missing or poorly formed parts of the heart).
Arrhythmia is an irregularity of the heartbeats. Arrhythmias occur when the electrical signals that coordinate the heart's beats don't work properly. The faulty signaling causes the heart to beat too fast, too slow or irregularly. Most arrhythmias can be managed with medications, but some need catheter interventions.
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound test that checks the structure and function of your heart. An echo can diagnose a range of conditions including holes in the heart, abnormal heart valves, abnormalities of heart chambers/ vessels, heart enlargement and heart dysfunction.
Preventive cardiology focuses on lowering the risk of developing a significant acquired heart disease. It focuses on management of conditions like hypertension, high cholesterol, weight management, etc. Preventive cardiology puts primary focus on lifestyle modifications for a healthy heart.
General cardiology provides thorough examination to identify individuals who are at risk of heart disease, providing care for people suffering from heart disease, and helping them maintain a healthy life. General carfiology focuses on diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases and conditions of the cardiovascular system.
These are the heart monitors that can aid in the diagnosis of arrhythmia. These provide ECG monitoring of the heart in the real-world setting. These monitors can provide monitoring over extended time, ranging from 24 hours to 14 days. These are non-invasive monitoring devices that can be placed in the clinic on patient's chest and can be worn at home during the entire duration of the monitoring.
